The shells of this kit are made of North American maple, a type of wood that provides a warm tone. This Gretsch Renown Maple 2016 shell set combines traditional and modern techniques; the shells are equipped with a modern Low Profile tom mounting system, for starters, and Remo USA drum heads. In keeping with the Gretsch USA and New Classic series, you'll find the 2016 Renown insignia on the exterior of these shells, which adds the perfect finishing touch to this Silver Oyster shell set.
